When designing a waterproof and dustproof a custom touchscreen, one of the key sealing elements is the cover glass, with the adhesive acting as the sealing medium (sealant).

While selecting the correct adhesive type/model is important, the adhesive profile design is equally critical to overall sealing performance.

For example, if the custom cover glass includes multiple cut-outs for knobs, buttons, or keypads, the adhesive profile should also provide continuous sealing around the perimeter of each cut-out on the rear side, not only around the outer edge of the glass.
