Joining Us… But Only If We Succeed First?

Hiring the right talent is never easy, especially when building a new team from the ground up. Recently, while recruiting for our Vietnam office, we met a promising candidate. She impressed us with her experience, performed well in interviews, and even demonstrated initiative by joining us on supplier visits before officially coming on board.

We were genuinely excited to extend an offer, and she seemed equally interested—citing uncertainty in her current company due to a lack of projects and a desire for a more stable opportunity.

However, when it came time to commit, her response caught us off guard. She expressed doubts about our future and proposed staying with her current company while working part-time with us, only transitioning to full-time if we “make it.”

At KANOU, we are looking for individuals who believe in our vision, are ready to grow with us, and have the courage to build something meaningful together—not someone who views us as a fallback option.

Experience matters, but so do belief, commitment, and foresight. And those qualities make all the difference in an expansion-phase environment.
