On May 11, 2026, KANOU Group China Factory successfully held its 5th Lean Production Activity Day under the theme:
“Set Clear Goals, Deliver Meaningful Improvements.”
The event brought together employees from across different departments to share ideas, strengthen lean management awareness, and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
As the global manufacturing industry continues to face rising operational costs, increasing quality expectations, and growing sustainability demands, KANOU Group remains committed to advancing lean manufacturing practices and operational excellence. Over the years, the Lean Production Activity Day has become an important platform for encouraging employee engagement, process optimization, and practical innovation on the factory floor.
The event opened with remarks from the Chairman of the Lean Production Committee, who emphasized that lean manufacturing is more than just a management system — it is a long-term mindset that requires the active participation of every employee.
He highlighted that meaningful improvements often begin with small observations in daily operations. By encouraging employees to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and continuously improve workflows, the factory can steadily enhance productivity, product quality, and overall competitiveness.
A special guest speaker was also invited to deliver a keynote presentation titled:
“Goal Management – The Driving Force Behind Lean Operations.”
The session introduced how SMART goal-setting principles and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology can help translate strategic objectives into measurable operational improvements.
The presentation further emphasized that lean initiatives should remain closely aligned with key business priorities, including:
- Quality improvement
- Energy efficiency
- Cost reduction
- Delivery performance
- Customer satisfaction

One of the highlights of the event was the sharing of successful improvement projects proposed and implemented by factory employees.
Two practical examples demonstrated how small operational changes can create significant long-term value:
- By optimizing the height and energy consumption of workshop lighting fixtures, the factory improved workplace visibility, reduced operational errors, and achieved annual electricity savings of approximately RMB 1,872.
- By installing timer switches on LED light boxes, unnecessary overnight power consumption caused by manual oversight was eliminated, resulting in annual electricity savings of approximately RMB 3,354.
Although these improvements were relatively simple, they strongly reflected the core philosophy of lean manufacturing:
Sustainable improvement does not always require major investment or large-scale transformation. Consistent small improvements can deliver significant long-term results.
The event also reinforced a key message across the organization:
Lean is not the responsibility of a single department — it is a daily commitment shared by everyone.
From workstation organization and workflow optimization to energy conservation and process standardization, every employee has the opportunity to identify waste and contribute to continuous improvement.
Looking ahead, KANOU Group China Factory will continue strengthening its lean culture based on three core principles:
- Everyone participates in lean
- Everything can be improved
- Improvement happens every day
Through clearer goal management, faster feedback mechanisms, and stronger knowledge-sharing practices, the factory aims to ensure that every valuable improvement can be recognized, replicated, and sustained.

At KANOU Group China Factory, the lean journey never truly ends — and with every improvement, the team moves one step closer toward higher efficiency, better quality, and sustainable long-term growth.
